Location: Marischal College
Duration: Fixed Term to 28/02/2023 - maternity cover, Full Time
The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for managing a number of funded employability projects such as No One Left Behind, Young Person’s Guarantee, Parental Employability Support Fund and Partnership Action for Continuous Employment. In the fast paced employability environment the Senior Project Officer will be required to be adaptable and maintain relationships with partners in order to support the delivery of additional interventions and services in the city.
Experience and knowledge of the employability landscape, employability service delivery, partnership working across public, private and third sectors and with education services is essential for this role.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the job is to develop, plan and manage a variety of Strategic Development and Infrastructure Projects which will positively impact the sustainable economic growth of Aberdeen City and its region
Requirements
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
A Project Management qualification or equivalent
Responsibilities
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
Proven experience in working on projects including European and Government funded projects
Proven track record in leading complex projects
Proven experience in contract management and performance monitoring
Proven experience in negotiating, planning and monitoring agreements and/ or contracts
Proven experience of working in a project with multiple partners and stakeholders.
Proven experience of delivering presentations using a variety of methods and media ranging from small groups to large conferences
