Aberdeen City Council

Living in Aberdeen; a city that's hard to beat

Aberdeen offers a mix of vibrant city life and some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland.

It's a city of success, in economic, social and environmental terms. It boasts a fantastic range of restaurants, great nightlife, a packed cultural calendar, superb shopping, not to mention a wide range of sporting facilities. Add in the fact that the Cairngorm Mountains are close at hand (as are stunning beaches, rolling countryside and a world-famous whisky trail), and it's not hard to see why Aberdeen is such a great place to live.

The city boasts excellent schools and nurseries, and two leading universities. We are well connected, with an international airport right on the doorstep, and good road and rail links. The city is also served by a number of respected hospitals.

When it comes to choosing a home you'll find everything from traditional flats and stunning new build properties in the city centre, to cottages and steadings in the countryside. It all adds up to a great quality of life.
