Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Educational Psychologist within a creative and dynamic Educational Psychology Service that offers a comprehensive supervision and induction programme, and a range of development and leadership opportunities.  

You will be a motivated and reflective practitioner, committed to working within a consultation model of service delivery, and passionate about utilising your psychological knowledge and skills to improve outcomes for all children and young people.     

You will have an honours degree in Psychology and a relevant post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology.  You should be eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.  

You must have a current driving license and be able to provide a car, for which appropriate travel expenses will be paid.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An offer of employment by Aberdeenshire Council will be subject to the outcome of this check being satisfactory. The preferred candidate will also be required to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Check from other countries as deemed necessary. An offer of employment by Aberdeenshire will be subject to the outcome of this check being satisfactory.
