Job Description

This post has been created to enable the opportunity for wrap around, sustained and intensive work with children and families before reaching crisis point. It will also enable us to pick up families and children who are demonstrating early ‘flags’ of struggling to cope.This post is a flexi post to include evening and weekend work.

Provide emotional and practical support and guidance to children and families in the local community. Assist families to make positive changes, by improving parenting skills and reducing barriers to learning and community engagement to enhance individuals to reach their potential.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation

Fixed Term for a period not exceeding 30th November 2021

Interviews will be held on Friday 6th November 2020

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post has a minimum requirement of one reference which must be your current or most recent employer.
