We are looking for an enthusiastic Head Teacher to lead our team at Hatton of Fintray Primary School. Hatton of Fintray is a welcoming and friendly school.
As Head Teacher, you will use your excellent communication skills to engage with pupils, parents, staff, partner agencies and the wider school community to lead our school improvement journey; ensuring that we provide our pupils with a school experience in line with Aberdeenshire Council’s commitment to excellence.
You will be responsible for the leadership, good management and strategic direction of Hatton of Fintray school, conducting the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils and the community we serve. You will lead and manage whole school policy, its implementation and evaluation. Additionally, you will manage and develop the school curriculum and the learning and teaching provision, in order to promote improved educational outcomes for all of our pupils.
Salary for this post will be in accordance with SNCT agreements. Applicants must be or eligible to be fully GTC Scotland registered.
Please note that the grade for this position may be subject to change. Promoted Teaching Posts that meet the criteria will be resized on an annual basis, in line with the SNCT Handbook. Any grade change will be effective from 1st August each year.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
