As part of the ARCH Responder team, you will support service users and their families with planned, unplanned and urgent care needs across the Care at Home Service, Sheltered Housing schemes, Virtual Community Wards, Priority Discharge and End of Life care. By providing this support, you will help service users live independently at home and prevent their admission to hospital or, where this occurs, achieve as early a discharge as possible.
Covering the South of Aberdeenshire, there is a degree of flexibility in where your base could be located (Stonehaven, Banchory or Huntly).
As the support you provide is driven by immediate need and emergency situations, you will be interacting with different service users and families with every shift. It is therefore important that you possess good communication skills, the ability to build a rapport with others and establish professional relationships quickly. The nature of the role also means no two days will be the same. Therefore, you should have the ability to work on your own initiative, while adhering to service required guidelines, and possess an understanding of the needs and rights of older people and people with disabilities.
You will work 3 days across the week on a rota basis, with every second weekend off. Each shift will be 6 hours - 06.30 to 12.30 or 11.30 to 17.30.
Anticipated date of interview: 2nd September 2020
The full Job Profile is attached and should be reviewed to gain a better understanding of the duties and person specification. If you have any questions about the role, the flexibility of the base location or working pattern please contact Tracy Smith on 01467 536403 or firstname.lastname@example.org
