Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to be part of Aberdeenshire Council's Home Care Out of Hours / Waking Nights Service.  We are looking for an individual who must be a driver and available to respond to unplanned care needs in the community. You will be supported by an Out of Hours Care Team Coordinator.  The work is varied and interesting with the job satisfaction that comes from being part of a vital service in the community, meeting the needs of vulnerable people.

It is essential for the successful candidate to hold a valid full driving licence.

The post is 23 hours per week on a rotational basis. 

You will be responding to planned and unplanned care needs across central Aberdeenshire and based at Bennachie View Care Home, Inverurie assisting staff there.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
