Job Description

Following a restructure, we have integrated Housing Finance and Tenancy Management to create a new Tenancy Services team responsible for managing Aberdeenshire’s 13,000 tenancies and providing a first class service to customers. We now seek to appoint a number of new posts to that team

You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with good communication skills and experience in social housing. Academic achievement to HNC level in a relevant discipline or equivalent transferable experience and skills. Ability to travel is essential.

You will be required to manage all aspects of individual tenancies in terms of Aberdeenshire Council’s policies and procedures within a defined geographic area. Provide assistance to tenants to ensure the requirements of the Council’s Tenancy Agreement and be responsible for pursuing rent arrears

The post includes home visits and may involve out of hours or flexible working.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
