Aberdeenshire Council Occupational Therapy Team are looking for an Independent Mobility Assessor.The permanent post is 19 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday.
The role involves carrying out Independent Mobility Assessment (IMA) for the Blue Badge Scheme as determined by the Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2011. This includes being responsible for organising and running clinics in Maud, Inverurie, Banchory and Stonehaven.
The preferred candidate must hold a BSc Degree or Dip COT in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or other equivalent professional qualification. Experience in conducting clinical or functional assessment and working with people with disability is essential.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
