We currently have two Joiner positions available to carry out a range of maintenance, repair and improvement work on properties owned by both Aberdeenshire council and external agencies, all in accordance with the agreed terms and conditions as contained within contract and/or service level agreements.
Although your administrative base will be The CRM Contact Centre, Fraserburgh, you shall travel to work from your home address. The majority of the work scope will be in Central Aberdeenshire, but you will be required to work in any location within Aberdeenshire, as workload dictates. As such, you will be required to hold a current, valid driving licence.
Additional hours shall be as per operational requirements. We operate a flexible and modern approach with all holidays entitlements. There is a requirement to be available on a Rota basis to cover out of hours duties.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
