Lead, manage and develop Health and Social Care Team(s) to deliver high quality, person centred health and social care services within the Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership by empowering local team(s) to delivery high quality services which meet the needs of individuals and local communities.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to be enthusiastic and eager to take forward a challenging range of developments across the Deeside area. It is important the successful candidate is able to evidence strong leadership skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
As part of this post you will be required to work at various locations in South Aberdeenshire, office based to be agreed.
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

It is Aberdeenshire Council’s procedure that applicants for vacancies of this nature require to attend an assessment centre as well as interview. Please note, assessment centres and interviews may be carried out on different dates which will be confirmed in due course.
All applicants salary placement will be dependent on the appointed individual’s back ground and experience. However, candidates applying from either Aberdeenshire Council or NHS will be placed on their existing employer’s pay scale and retain their current employment terms and conditions. Both organisations pay a relocation allowance up to £8,000.
