Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a Payroll Supervisor to lead a payroll team to ensure that the production of salaries payments and associated administrative tasks, are carried out in accordance with Aberdeenshire Council’s policies and procedures and statutory legislation.

Working in an established team providing multiple payroll services to over 15,000 employees, this is a key role within the payroll team managing day to day workloads, developing and implementing improvements and coaching team members in the delivery of a customer focussed service.

You will have considerable experience and knowledge of payroll, pensions, relevant legislation and systems and a good understanding of how to calculate statutory elements.

Having the necessary digital skills, you will assist in implementing change, whilst maintaining service standards.

To be successful in this role you will have the relevant payroll skills and knowledge and have a passion to improve service delivery.

The post holder is responsible for the efficient use of resources and the development of staff.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
