You are time served with a good knowledge of Plumbing works including refurbishment, planned maintenance and responsive repairs. You must have passed and hold a current Construction Skills Certificate Scheme Card (CSCS Card). There are no formal qualifications required for this post, but experience and a proven track record is essential along with good communication skills/working with the public or similar. You should also be able to demonstrate competency in relation to health and safety. Possession of training certificates in relation to Health and Safety would be desirable. Ability to travel within Aberdeenshire is essential and you will play a key role in providing services to the community.
We operate a flexible modern approach to the work that we do and there is a requirement to be available to work on our out of hours standby rota.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
