Job Description

Carry out cleaning duties in Aberdeenshire Council Education and Children’s Services
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

We are seeking relief and flexible cleaners for the schools within the Portlethen Cluster. Relief hours would be required to be worked within the cleaning windows for schools which are 6am to 8.30 am and 3.30pm-9pm, and hours are typically 2-3 hours on weekdays.

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less that £12.00 per hour.

This post is regulated work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months in the last 5 years outside of the UK, an Overseas Criminal Record Check must be obtained. The candidate is responsible for obtaining this check. A confirmed offer of employment is dependent on the outcome of both these checks being satisfactory.
