Job Description

We are looking for a hard working individual who has a good knowledge of Residential Care settings as a Care Assistant and who may be looking to progress their career to the next level. The Social Care Officer role is on the whole, the same as a Care Assistant, however they will have additional duties and responsibilities. These additional duties and responsibilities include being the named keyworker for allocated residents and in the absence of an Assistant Manager, the Social Care Officer would be the main point of contact.  Faithlie Care Home has the capacity to care for up to 35 older adults at any given time. 

Shift times are 7.30am to 3.30pm and 2pm to 10pm and this will include some weekend working.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to work toward continuous improvement of the post for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 6 months of employment.

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of these must be your current or most recent employer.
