Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead an occupational therapy team in South Aberdeenshire and to gain management experience. The location base of the post can be flexible although travel throughout South Aberdeenshire will be required. We are looking for a dynamic, and experienced practitioner who is able to lead the service through a period of change, evidences leadership potential, and wants the opportunity to develop their own management skills. An enthusiastic commitment to the further integration of health and social care, and the skills to manage change is an important aspect to this role.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of these must be your current or most recent employer.

This is a Fixed Term position for a period not exceeding 30/09/2019.

Location - although the admin base for this position is Banchory Social Work the location will be flexible within South Aberdeenshire.
