Leisure Assistant - Pool

Job Description

Deliver the safe operation of recreational facilities, including swimming pools within a defined geographical area, by assisting the Duty Officer in the development and improvement of all service areas and providing a high standard of customer relations.

There is a requirement to undertake manual handling daily. There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Working Pattern: 3 week pattern 

Week 1: Mon:12:00-21:00    Tue:14:00-22:15    Wed:15:00-21:15    Thu:15:00-21:15    Fri: OFF    Sat:OFF    Sun:13:00-19:15
Week 2: Mon:09:00-16:00    Tue:05:45-15:00    Wed:OFF    Thu:OFF    Fri:12:00-20:45    Sat:08:45-16:45    Sun:08:45-17:30
Week 3: Mon:OFF    Tue:05:45-13:00    Wed:05:45-15:00    Thu:05:45-15:00    Fri:09:00-16:30    Sat: OFF    Sun: OFF

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
