Job Description

Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar.

Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to join a team delivering urban and rural nature-based projects in Angus? Can you contribute to the Angus response to the ecological and climate challenges faced in North East Scotland?

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and experienced individual to join the Angus Council Environment and Climate Change Team. In this varied and interesting role you will work with communities, elected members, regional partnerships, and Angus Council corporate teams.

You will use your expertise to work towards the protection and restoration of nature, supporting the delivery of nature-based solutions at landscape and development scales. Specifically, you will play key role in identifying and assessing feasibility of potential projects, advising on implementation, and carrying out impact monitoring.

It has never been clearer that nature and healthy ecosystems are critical to the sustainability of our communities, to our health and our wellbeing and to our response to climate change. We want to enable people to experience the direct health benefits of nature, protect and enhance the biodiversity of Angus and ensure its benefits for communities in the long term.

If you would like to know more about the role please contact Kelly Ann Dempsey at dempseyk@angus.gov.uk or telephone 07771 973 280.
