Regulatory Services Officer (Environmental Heath) required on a full-time temporary basis.
An excellent opportunity exists for a qualified Regulatory Services Officer to join an environmental health team working within a very busy, yet diverse and beautiful area in the West Coast of Scotland. This provides a wide range of challenges for the successful person and whilst a temporary post, provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience working across all areas of environmental health.
The post is based in Dunoon with opportunities to work in Bute and Helensburgh, and on occasions, the other offices in the area. The post holder will be expected to work outwith office hours on occasions and will benefit from the Councils flexible/mobile working arrangements. This would ideally suit an experienced food safety officer or Environmental Health enforcement officer, or an environmental health graduate awaiting their professional interview, who wishes to develop their experience and work in a beautiful and challenging area.
Successful applicants will possess excellent communication skills, be capable of working with a minimum of supervision and working to detailed procedures. We have implemented a degree of flexible working using voice and video link technology.
The anticipated end date for this post is 30th June 2018.
