The Council’s Planning and Building Standards Service are on a journey of transformation to improve the statutory services provided to a variety of stakeholders across the City.

We are seeking an experienced Business Support Senior Administrator to assist the Planning Service with the implementation of this exciting transformation programme.

The successful applicant will support the Senior Management Team and will be required to have excellent customer, administration, communication and organisational skills. Be able to develop customer relationships and to maintain a high standard of service delivery. Handle sensitive and personal information in line with appropriate policies and guidelines. Provide administrative and problem solving support for Planning staff and external customers. It would be desirable for the post holder to have acknowledge of the Planning Service and be able to follow processes and use a variety of systems such as Uniform.

There is an expectation to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Part of the role would be supporting the Business Support Officer as well as colleagues within the department.

The post holder will be based at Waverley Court and working from home under the Hybrid model.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
