Early Years Officer - fixed term until 13/10/2023
Kirkliston Nursery School

Salary: £28,854 - £34,057 (pro rata for sessional)
Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional

At Kirkliston Nursery School, we provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all our learners.  Kirkliston Nursery School can accommodate up to 70 children, ages 3-5 years old, on a sessional basis.

We require a motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Officer to join our nursery team of 12 staff. The Early Years Officer will work closely with the Senior Early Years Officer to oversee and facilitate the day to day running off the nursery and support the delivery of the Early Years curriculum.

The successful applicant must be qualified to a minimum of SVQ 3 or HNC and SSSC registered.

The successful applicant must have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience working in Early Years.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
