Customer and Digital Services has a 6 month vacancy for a motivated individual to support a project within Digital Services for Schools & Lifelong Learning. You will work in an exciting and dynamic environment which is at the heart of business change throughout the Council.
You will work closely with the Digital Learning Team Lead and other team members to assist in the management of the Council’s Schools & Lifelong Learning IT systems including SEEMiS in line with the Council’s Digital Strategy. You will contribute to the ongoing development and support of this system. The role is full-time for 6 months and is based at Council Headquarters, Waverley Court 3.3, 4 East Market Street.
The ideal candidate will have experience of SEEMiS and relational databases. You will have exceptional communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines. You should have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment whilst being creative and innovative in providing solutions to digital challenges. You should be flexible, proactive and customer driven, embracing change and keeping up to date with emerging web technologies.
The successful candidate will work in close co-operation with other Schools and Lifelong Learning to help maintain and develop their core IT systems. You will be responsible for driving and delivering business process changes and support future developments. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
