Lifelong Learning Library Supervisor (Libraries Citywide & Localities; South-East Locality)
Salary: £21,490 - £25,623
Hours: 36 per week (including shift working and Saturday working)
The post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of a lifelong learning service for Edinburgh by working across the library service, with locality teams and with other partners to develop and improve library services.
Newington library is located in the South-East of Edinburgh; providing a wide range of services, activities and learning opportunities tailored to meet the needs of the local community.
One of our key aims is to provide services for people from all ages and backgrounds in a vibrant and welcoming community space.
As LL Library Supervisor, the post holder will support the leadership of the existing committed staff team and help drive development of the library service. Newington Library has well-established links with local schools and positive relationships with young people in the community: the post holder will be expected to support and enhance our service provision to children and young people, alongside other user groups.
The library also has established a wide range of partnerships with local agencies and organisations: the post holder will work with the Development Leader to further develop these relationships to enhance our service provision to the community.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
