Operational Estate Contract Officer
Waverley Court

Salary: £26,393 - £31,484
Hours: 36 per week

The Council is seeking a confident, personable and enthusiastic person with previous experience of contract management within a relevant property discipline.

The Operational Estate Contract Management Team is a small team consisting of an Operational Estate Contract Manager and two Operational Estate Contract Officers.  This team is responsible for all the Council’s properties, primarily schools, which were developed under a Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Working within the team, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with the contract.  This includes liaising on an ongoing basis with the key stakeholders and visiting each property regularly.

You should be educated to Higher National Certificate level in a business or appropriate technical discipline and have relevant previous work experience. In addition, you should demonstrate good attention to detail and excellent negotiation and communication skills

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
