Park Ranger - fixed term until 31/10/2021
Hermitage House

Salary: £19,424-£21,828
Hours 36 per week - including evening and weekend working

Planned interview dates for this post are 7th and 8th June although is subject to change

To compliment the Pentland Hills Regional Park team, to provide a reassuring presence on the ground, to report and action the necessary work identified to ensure our visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience of the Regional Park. To work in co-operation with other organisations, landowners, communities and volunteers. The job will have a focus on promoting the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and to contribute to the Visitor Management Plan. The key role will consist in working with visitors & residents providing on hand communication and advice; talking with people in clear, positive, engaging, persuasive and easily understood ways to encourage responsible outdoor access.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
