Salary: £18,860.00-£19,142.00 (pro rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 18 per week,  term-time only (39 weeks per year)

Holy Cross RC Primary School has a Temporary vacancy for a Pupil Support Assistant (PSA) for session 2021/22. This post is funded by our Pupil Equity Fund and will be for 18 hours per week to provide emotional, social and educational support to new P1 children who have experienced significant disruption to pre-school nursery year. The post will be worked over five mornings, Monday-Friday.

In session 2021/22, we will have two Primary classes and it is envisaged that the successful candidate would work in both classes We are looking for a candidate who has had recent experience of working in the Early Years of primary school or in nursery.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
