Salary: £15,285 - £17,191 (pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 28.75 (Monday - Friday), term-time only (39 weeks per year)
Queensferry Community High School is a non-denominational secondary school built in 1969, which serves the area of north west Edinburgh. It draws most of its students from Dalmeny, Echline, Kirkliston and Queensferry primary schools. The catchment area comprises of students from a range of socio-economic backgrounds.
The school grounds are surrounded by car parks and playing fields. There is a security perimeter fence and close circuit television (CCTV) cameras are in operation. The school will benefit from a new building scheduled for completion in 2020.
We are looking for a permanent, sessional Pupil Support Assistant to provide support within the classroom. The post is for 28.5 hours per week.
Interviews for this post will be held on Thursday 15 March 2018.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
