Pupil Support Officer
Gracemount High School
Salary: £22,956 - £26.919 (pro-rata for part time & sessional)
Hours: 30 per week (Monday - Friday), 39 weeks sessional
The Pupil Support Officer for the Wellbeing Hub will provide targeted support for a range of pupils who are engaged with the GHS Wellbeing Hub. The pupils supported in the hub have a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs and will be given bespoke support from the hub team so that they can achieve in school to their full potential. The PSO will work in a 1:1 setting as well as with small groups of pupils. The Wellbeing Hub is part of the larger integrated support faculty and therefore the PSO will work in partnership with the wider Support for Pupils team.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
