Social Care Assistant - (Night)
Gylemuir House Care Home

Salary: £14,944 - £16,850 plus additional payments if shift or weekend working apply
Hours: 36

Gylemuir House is a short term Interim Care Facility jointly staffed by the City of Edinburgh Council and NHS Lothian. Residents are supported in Gylemuir for a short period of time from hospital then move on to a permanent care service.

The service supports up to 60 residents in 4 different wings. The service is made up of team leaders some with nursing qualifications, social care workers, social care assistants and NHS Clinical support workers we also have an in house GP service. The service has played an integral part of reducing the delayed discharge issues faced by NHS Lothian.

Gylemuir House is a fast paced service with approximately 7 new admission and discharges each week. We require staff that can work under pressure, show positive team working skills and be flexible to support the needs of the service.

Our care staff work with some of Edinburgh’s older and more vulnerable citizens, people from different backgrounds and of all abilities. You will help with personal care such as bathing and dressing, provision of meals and administration of medication.
