Social Worker (Family Based Care)
North East Locality Office, 101 Niddrie Mains Rd, EH16 4DS      

Salary: £31,484 - £37,589
Hours: 36 per week

To develop and sustain a flexible range of family based care placements, using the 'support and challenge' approach, to meet the needs of children and young people, from birth to eighteen years (potentially 21 under new Continuing Care Agenda).

This will involve the recruitment, assessment and ongoing supervision / support of carers.

Qualified Social Worker applying must have; 

A recognised Social Work qualification
Experience in children and families work
Developed skills in Assessment and support of carers 
Experience of working with children needing adoption, fostering or permanent care
Skills and Understanding and a Working knowledge of Child Development 
Developed assessment skills
Group work skills
Candidates must have SSSC Registration
Child Protection Certificate, P.Q 1 is desirable
