Housing Property is a large multi skilled service responsible for the planning and delivery of all capital works, maintenance and repairs to the 19,000 Council housing stock across the City of Edinburgh. Housing Property manage a budget of around £30m and carry out over 100,000 responsive repairs on an annual basis. Housing Property carry out 1500 kitchen and bathroom upgrades each year along with central heating systems, window and doors upgrades and large external fabric upgrades. Housing Property are also responsible for the delivery of the Energy Efficiency Standards for Social Housing by 2020 which will provide excellent quality and energy efficient homes for our tenants.

The Operational Delivery section are key to the successful completion of these works on time and within budget.

The Mechanical and Electrical Team Leader are responsible for the management of subcontractors and in house craft operatives to ensure excellent quality of works is delivered for the tenants of The City of Edinburgh Council.  It is exciting time for Housing Property due to the recent Council Wide restructure.  If you feel you have the relevant qualifications and experience particular within the electrical/electronic field,  are well organised and have excellent communication and customer service skills we would welcome you application.
