Job Summary

The role of the Headteacher is, within the resources available, to conduct the affairs of the school to the benefit of the children and the community it serves, through pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by Clackmannanshire Council  under the overall direction of the Chief Education Officer

Craigbank Primary is located in Sauchie which is 1.5 miles north of Alloa in Clackmannanshire. It currently has a roll of 257 pupils with 18% of children in receipt of Free School meals.

The school is going to benefit from a significant refurbishment programme that is due to start in August 2017. Included in the refurbishment will be the formation of a new nursery. This nursery will support the Council’s commitment to delivering 1140 hours of early learning and childcare by 2020.

The current headteacher retires in August 2017 and we are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic leader who can take the school forward at this exciting time.

 

Requirements

Applications are invited from suitably qualified GTC registered teachers.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council and the cost of this check which will be deducted from your salary.
