Job Description

The principal purpose of the role is to ensure H&S compliance across Property Services. 

This post contributes to the provision of a positive health & safety culture and a comprehensive, quality Health & Safety Service which promotes the goals, values and corporate policies of the Council. In particular, the post supports the Council in achieving statutory compliance with all relevant health & safety law within the elevated H&S risk service areas of Soft FM, Hard FM and capital projects.

The H&S Compliance Co-ordinator (Property) key objectives are:

To coordinate H&S Compliance across Property Services and put in place a fit for purpose and sustainable, risk-based health and safety regime

To provide Property Service specific H&S expertise in Facilities Management and Capital Projects, to ensure the effective management of risk

To provide scrutiny, advice & support to operational managers, supervisors and staff. The focus is on ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance of the enhanced operational risks of property service delivery across of the Council.
