Job Description
Principal Purpose:
To provide support and advice to the vulnerable in the community who are experiencing challenges due to the rising cost of living fuel poverty and emergency situations such as Covid and Climate change events and to provide input into the development of actions/strategy that will improve the local situation now and in the future.

Local authorities have a duty to improve the health and well being of children living in poverty.
The Council is a Category 1 responder under the Civil Contingencies Act and therefore has an essential role to play in Environmental emergencies and cost of living crises.
Duty to tackle Climate Change and to reduce Emissions (associated with energy efficient homes)
What is my job's contribution to Clackmannanshire Council?
To ensure sustainable environmental management in its operations to improve the protection and wellbeing of vulnerable persons in the community.
The job will contribute to providing support for the vulnerable in the community who are at risk due to the rise on the cost of living, fuel poverty and/or other emergencies e.g. COVID 19, Climate Change events. The post holders will provide key data to help develop poverty/emergency strategies. The posts will also provide information which ill be necessary for submitting Scottish Government funding bids.
