Job Description

The postholder will work towards a Cultural Heritage L5 Qualification (achievability, 1 year).  Qualification level will be agreed with the successful candidate.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to put in place an apprenticeship programme that will contribute towards the delivery of a comprehensive historical service. The successful post holder will develop the skills required to build capacity in projects, programmes and exhibitions that will increase participation and understanding of local heritage through the medium of Gaelic.  The successful post holders will aid in activities such as, interpretation of objects, cataloguing, public events and exhibitions.

Requirements

Feumaidh eòlas a bhith agad air Gàidhlig còmhla ri teisteanasan a’ leigeadh dhut ceum co-cheangailte ris a’ ghnìomhachas a dhèanamh agus aig a’ char as lugha feumaidh Gàidhlig is Beurla a bhith aig Àrd-ìre.

You must have knowledge of Gaelic along with qualifications which would enable entry to an industry specific qualification and minimum higher Gaidhlig and English. 

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. A supplement will be paid, where applicable, to take account of age-related National Minimum Wage Regulations.
