Job Description

Airson 37 uair a thìde gach seachdain, 18.5 uair a thìde air bhonn stèidhichte agus 18.5 uair a thìde sealach airson sia mìosan an-toiseach.

Stèidhichte ann an Steòrnabhagh, bidh sibh a’ cumail taic ri Oifigearan Seirbheis Luchd-cleachdaidh a’ coileanadh modh-obrach ann an dòigh èifeachdach a’ làimhseachadh cunnraidhean luchd-cleachdaidh le bhith a’ coileanadh seirbheisean fòn, fàilteachas agus puist ris an luchd-cleachdaidh air fad. 

Bidh dleastanasan a’ gabhail a-steach: obrachadh fònaichean na Comhairle, ag ùrachadh siostam CRM a’ foillseachadh fiosrachaidh a gheibhear bho roinnean eile den Chomhairle agus Luchd Com-pàirt Dealbhadh Coimhearsnachd; a’ cur a-mach agus a’ pròiseasadh foirmichean; cuideachadh le fosgladh agus clàradh litrichean.

 

Required for 37 hours per week, 18.5 hours per week are on a permanent basis and 18.5 hours per week are temporary for six months in the first instance.

Based in Stornoway, you will support the Customer Service Officers in carrying out procedures for the effective and efficient handling of customer contacts by providing telephone, reception and mail services to internal and external customers.

Duties include: operating the Comhairle switchboard;  updating the CRM system to reflect information received from other Comhairle departments and Community Planning Partners;  issuing and processing forms;  assisting with opening and recording of mail.

You must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of effective customer care and be able to deal courteously and efficiently with customers by telephone and face-to-face. It is essential that you are IT literate with keyboard skills, and have experience of dealing with customers and of working as part of a team.  You must be able to speak and understand Gaelic.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.  Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
