Job Description
Required for 24 hours per week, year round, this post provides support for children with additional support needs.
This post will be based in Sgoil Araich Loch a Tuath during term time and Sgoil Araich Lacasdail during the holidays.
Duties include: working in mainstream classes, assisting pupils with school work, under the direction of class teacher; supervision of children at intervals and lunch breaks; assisting in the management of children and young people with behavioural difficulties.
Requirements
You must have: experience of working with children, as a parent or in a voluntary or professional capacity; an understanding of the basic needs of children; the ability to co-operate with others and work effectively as a member of a team; a patient, cheerful personality with a flexible, open and caring approach.
This is a fixed term post to 29 June 2023.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade.
