BSL Personal Assistant (Fixed Term)
£18,158.33 - £19,539.58
You will be required to work 25 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to provide a highly organised, professional and committed Personal Assistant service to their assigned Elected Member. Taking full responsibility for supporting the Elected Member and providing confidential, comprehensive and proactive executive support to them using a high degree of initiative and minimum British Sign Language (BSL) to Level 2 or above. The postholder will also ensure the effective organisation of all the Elected Member’s business commitments, responsibilities and diary; and act as a first point of contact for them, organising papers and agendas for meetings, attending and interpreting BSL at informal meetings, coordination of actions and gathering any necessary briefings on behalf of the Elected Member.
The postholder should be able to develop a good understanding of the operational environment and the Elected Member’s relationships and priorities.
Given the nature of the post flexibility is required in recognition that there may be some late afternoon/evening meetings.
This post is fixed term for up to 5 years. This post may be suitable for attachment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.
