Casual Senior Revenue Assistant
£10.04 Per Hour
The Financial Wellbeing & Revenues Service has responsibility for (amongst other things) the administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reductions, Council Tax billing and recovery, the Scottish Welfare Fund, and Homelessness.
You will be joining our team at an exciting time due to the rapidly changing environment.
You will process changes to customers’ accounts, ensuring records are updated accurately and relevant notices are issued.
You will be expected to deal with customer enquiries in relation to Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reductions, Council Tax and Homelessness (face-to-face, telephone, post, or email). You will also assist customers to access benefits.
You will undertake ordering of Scottish Welfare Fund goods.
Full training and support will be provided however you must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.
You will be confident and highly motivated with the ability to work within a challenging, but rewarding, working environment. You will have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, a pleasant manner, and good numerical skills. You must be able to meet deadlines and deal with issues professionally.
Experience of dealing with the public is essential.
