Casual Waste Services Operative
Various Locations across the region
£11.25 Per hour
This is a multifunctional role withinthe Waste Services. As such you may called upon to assist in:
- the provision of refuseand recycling collection service to domesticand commercial properties or
- assist with the operations of Household Waste Recycling Centre sites or Waste Treatment Facility or
- to assist with the industrial cleaning duties atthe waste treatment facility.
Our Waste Service work within the hearts of our Communities across Dumfries and Galloway.
We are looking for potential candidates within our communities to work with us on an “as and when required” basis to help us deliver this essential service.
We deliver a wide variety of frontline services and require Waste Services Operatives at our various depots and household waste recycling centres across the region.
You will be expected to carry out various duties as instructed by the Waste Services Supervisor, and you should have a basic knowledge of Health and Safety requirements. All roles will involve outside working. You will be fully trained, and you will be required to work as part of a team.
This post is subject to candidate vetting through Basis Disclosure Scotland.
You will be educated to Standard Grade Level and a full valid current driving license would be beneficial but not essential.
