Never has there been a more exciting time to take on the executive leadership role as Chief Executive of Dumfries & Galloway Council.

You could be our new Chief Executive and provide inspirational leadership, vision and direction to a workforce of over 7,000, by shaping the Council’s priorities and plans, at a pivotal time in our change and transformation programme. With a focus on working with communities and partners to deliver better outcomes for all, local communities at the very heart of our decision-making, and this is an opportunity for a high-performing and visionary leader to make a difference in our unique region.
As the Chief Executive of our Council and therefore, Head of Paid Service and principal policy adviser, you will be an enthusiastic and influential leader, passionate about public service, place shaping, partnership and people, inspiring your team, bringing with you a track record of delivering results within a complex organisation, able to provide effective leadership and management oversight of all Council services, ensuring good governance and promoting fairness, equality and empowerment and a culture of innovation.
