Clerical Assistant (Fixed Term)
£17,700 - £18,021

You will be required to work 36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year.

Based within Cargen Tower, Dumfries, the post will be part of the Facilities Services, Solutions Centre Team which provides a full range of clerical and administrative support to the Facilities team.

The post will be an integral part of the Solutions Centre which sits within the Property and Facilities Model of Economy and Resources.

You must have experience working with members of the public, with a core skill of communicating with staff and clients/customers.

You will be confident and highly motivated with the ability to work within a challenging, but rewarding, working environment.

You will possess good organisational and communication skills and have previous experience within an office environment.

Duties include input, update and interrogation of data utilising various database systems. You will be the first point of contact for staff and members of the public. General clerical duties associated with an office environment. You will be required to deal with simple financial transactions.

You will be educated to Standard Grade or equivalent in English and Maths.

A good knowledge of Microsoft packages is essential, with good knowledge of general office working procedures being desirable.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 7.12hrs

This post will be Fixed Term for a period of up to 12 months.
