You will be required to work 20.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
Monday to Friday (to be discussed at interview)
This position is to take charge of a large secondary school kitchen. You will be given direction / support from your line manager.
Cooking skills are essential and supervisory experience is desirable.
Part of your duties within this role will include the following:-
Organising the day-to-day running of the kitchen;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Be able to approach problem management with ease;
Deal with any complaints.
Having knowledge of the following would be beneficial to this post:
Evaluating food costs; Menu planning;
Managing the kitchen budget; H.A.S.A.W. and Cooksafe
Also be aware of the current food trends and customer awareness
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. This is a temporary post for a period of up to 1 year.
