This is an exciting time to join the leadership team at our all-through (3-18) cluster where our priority is raising attainment through the delivery of high quality, joined-up education and support for our children and young people.
We are seeking to appoint a high calibre Depute Headteacher to join the Cluster Senior Leadership Team, to work collaboratively with partners and provide vision, direction and support to our school communities in Langholm and Canonbie.
Langholm and Canonbie are strong and supportive communities set in the beautiful countryside of Dumfries and Galloway and well served by good transport links to Dumfries, Carlisle and Edinburgh/ Scottish Borders.
Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
