As Depute Headteacher, you will be an important member of the school Management Team. You will work with the Headteacher and the wider school community to support colleagues in providing pupils with a school experience in line with Dumfries and Galloway’s commitment to excellence.
You will support the Headteacher in the performance of their duties by assisting, and where necessary, deputising for the Headteacher in the leadership and management of school affairs, lead and manage whole school policy, its implementation and evaluation.
Lincluden Primary has a current roll of 277 pupils within 11 classes with a further 70 children in the nursery. We also have a Learning Centre providing support for children with a range of moderate learning needs.
Our staff team is friendly and committed and we are looking for a management colleague to join us on our journey.
Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
