This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a challenge and wishing to gain experience in a management role and be part of the Management Team of an established school partnership starting in January 2022 up until the 1 July 2022. 


This post may be suitable for secondment.  Agreement from your Line Manager must be sought before applying for this post.


Creetown Primary School is partnered with Minnigaff Primary School. There is a strong sense of community within and across the schools and staff work in a very supportive and collaborative way throughout the partnership.


At Creetown Primary we aim to educate our pupils within a nurturing, caring and safe environment where progression and development is key to ensure the pupils achieve their full potential.  The successful candidate will be a dedicated teacher who has high expectations and can deliver exciting and engaging lessons to the children, ensuring progression throughout, and should demonstrate a high level of commitment to all aspects of school life.


Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.


This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.


Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
