Senior Revenue Assistant (8/386)

The Financial Wellbeing & Revenues Service, Communities, has responsibility for (amongst other things) Council Tax recovery, Benefit activities and Homelessness.


You will be joining our team at an exciting time due to the rapidly changing environment. The post is full-time, and you will be required to work 36 hours per week during normal office hours from Monday to Friday.

You will provide a front-line service to all customers (face to face, on the phone or by email) dealing with enquiries in relation to Council Tax recovery, Benefit activities or Homelessness.  You will also process changes to customers’ accounts, ensuring records are updated accurately. Full training and support will be provided however you must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.

You will be confident and highly motivated with the ability to work within a challenging, but rewarding, working environment. You will have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, a pleasant manner, and good numerical skills. You must be able to meet deadlines and deal with issues professionally.


Experience of dealing with the public is essential.
