You will have 5 National 5s, at level 2 or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent; or relevant experience of working within a Benefit Delivery Team environment.


Under relevant degrees of supervision, undertake as part of a team, duties relating to the billing and redemption of Council Tax and the administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, Educational Benefits and Discretionary Hardship Payments.

The Individual

You will have experience of supporting the public in a service delivery environment along with experience of an organised and methodical approach to work to ensure that work output expectations are met. You will have data protection awareness.

You will have experience using and working with computerised systems, including Microsoft Office, to input and retrieve data. You will have keyboard skills.

You will have good communication skills - written and oral along with good numeracy skills. You will have excellent ability to communicate with customers and colleagues.

You will be ability to organise and prioritise workload and take responsibility to work accurately, efficiently and ensure deadlines are met. You will have ability to work under pressure, as part of a team and with minimum supervision.

You will have calm disposition and approachable manner, have flexible approach to carrying out duties and be self-motivated.
