Based in the Marchbank Workshops, Harefield Road, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, fixed term from August 2017 until August 2021. This 4 year Modern Apprenticeship for a Horticultural Mechanic will offer a training programme that leads to an approved qualification: SVQ Level 3. The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area and the funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you are between the ages of 16 to 19.
You will have achieved 3 National 5s, including English, Maths and one other relevant subject.
To complete apprenticeship.
You will have the ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative. You will have good communication skills, be enthusiastic, have good time keeping and attendance and be able to attend college as part of apprenticeship. Knowledge of horticulture is desirable.
