Based at Ardler complex, we have three part time posts available: 2 x 6 hours per week and 1 x 4 hours per week. Please indicate in your application which post(s) you are interested in. A Living Wage supplement will be applied up to the equivalent of £8.33 per hour, as appropriate.
You will have a minimum of 2 National 4 Qualifications, or equivalent, one of which must be English.
You will assist young people to acquire the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to participate in groups and in the community and to contribute to their developments as adults.
You will have experience of working with young people, good organisational skills, be able to work as part of a team and motivate young people and be prepared to undertake training. You will be committed to ongoing personal development and to values and principles of Youth Work. You must be available to work evenings and weekends. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
